Dear Vista Group
This has been a productive and fast paced year, and I thank you all for your support and work ethic to carry the group to the point we are at today. We have embarked on multiple new big and small projects throughout all verticals, from diversifying trading portfolios and construction, to new partnerships, brands, establishments, policies, technologies and teams. Throughout this all, the evolution of our monthly Vista View has been tremendous, and we now have a central portal showcasing the fantastic work that all are doing, it is amazing to look at what we have done and the direction we as a group are heading.
Even though there is not enough time in a day to converse with everyone and be involved in the crux of all businesses, it is fantastic to read about everyone’s efforts through the Vista View and from time to time listen to all the entrepreneurial endeavours that our business heads and teams are plotting to pursue.
This year has been filled with many great milestones; Vista International posted one of their best sales ever done in a single day, finished building the new Lagos Warehouses/HQ and implemented a daunting Microsoft ERP system. Vista Zam opened up new retail outlets and Vista Um has built a sizable potential building materials portfolio. Artemis Life Sciences is now distributing its own range of branded products, and has set up new business operations in Ghana, Nigeria and Swaziland. Eureka Africa has generated huge attention through the Academic City social impact investment, and our NIIT and BlueCrest brands have continued to win multiple awards for mass market education. BlueCrest Liberia hosted a TEDx event and was dubbed the ‘Harvard’ of Liberia!
This endeavour has not only helped us to see what each other’s verticals are working on, but it has helped us identify some of the amazing talents that you all posses. Slowly we are investing in training, systems, and processes that will support and bring out the best in our people and teams, and it is my goal to make sure that we continue to advance collaboration, communication, impact and fulfilment through our endeavours.
This year I wish you and your families all a happy holiday season with some well-deserved rest. As we move into the new year I urge you all to continue to be inspired, setting targets and goals that we may together fulfil. It is your commitment to our endeavours that keep us moving forward, and management and I salute you for that.
