On the 10 December 2018, 15 Ha semi-solid permanent sprinkler irrigation system extension was successfully completed and tested. The irrigation system was connected to our existing 250mm PVC class 12 mainline and consists of two control valves respectively.
In addition, Heavy Discing was achieved prior to Irrigation installation works, light discing and ridging completed as well. The entire farm has 46 Hectors irrigation system in place. Moringa planted in the 30 Ha, has grown tremendously beyond our expectations, with harvests projected for every 2 months as supposed to 4. Early January 2019, we are expected to conduct moringa tests with various renowned laboratories and will be in the process if getting the farm organically certified to cultivate moringa, turmeric and ginger.
Moringa Facility and Machinery
Moringa facility construction works set to begin on the 20thJanuary 2019 and will be completed in 4 months’ time latest. The facility will be 600 square meters, consisting of washing, drying, milling, extracting, packaging, warehousing and laboratory spaces. All machinery (dryers, milling etc.) will be finalized in early January 2019.
