Artemis Life Sciences entities in Southern and
Eastern Africa have begun on their journey of digital transformation, which
commenced with the January ERP Conference at Vishwamitra DMCC offices in Dubai.
Present at the conference were delegates from our
Artemis offices in Eswatini, Uganda, Congo, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia and
Malawi. The conference was a great success, with many practices and processes
within the group having been streamlined for all countries.
Spread over two days, day one included an overview
of the Entersoft accounting package and its specific use for the pharmaceutical
industry, in addition, we conducted a business analysis of each of our group
countries. Day two was an in-depth discussion of the current hardware available
in each country, printouts and templates as well as MIS reporting.
Finally, the ERP conference was a chance for our
digital transformation in Human Resources to be showcased. We overviewed the
ICE HRM application for all delegates, and its practical uses were highlighted.
The conference was organized by Mr. Vinay Gokaldas
who previously oversaw the implementation effort at Artemis Ghana and Mr.
Rakesh Thakur a CPA with over 25 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Finance
and Business Cases with SAP ERP implementation.
Experience across Finance and Accounting Domain and
Turnkey Projects costings and Contract making. We are now in full swing to
incorporate the Entersoft Pharma ERP at all our Artemis Life Sciences
locations, which will enable us to generate real time group reporting.
Other advantages of the ERP include faster
reporting, reduction of double entry transactions, automated view into customer
and inventory ageing and procurement controls. The team was expected in Mozambique
on March 22 to begin implementation, however, as a result of the current
covid-19 situation, all implementation has begun remotely via online
conferencing.
