
Vishwamitra Dubai Office was pleased to host
Honourable Minister of Education Ghana, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh at its office
in Dubai followed by Lunch.
The minister was accompanied by Ms Laila Abubakari,
Media Liaison and Ms Wilhemina Asamoah, Chief Admin Officer and Ms. Saalai
Manikam, MD – Arima Farms Ghana. The delegates stopped over in Dubai enroute an
award ceremony in India where the President of Ghana, HE Nana Dankwa
Akuffo-Addo was going to be felicitated. The Vista Group was represented by the
Chairman – Mr. Dev Varyani, Director, Vishwamitra – Mr George Dominic
Sunny’ and
Eureka Africa CEO – Dr. Kapil Gupta.
Dr. Kapil Gupta made a short presentation to
showcase Eureka Africa’s journey in Ghana and the impact it has made since the
year 2000. The meeting was very productive and the delegates were quite
impressed with the commitment of Eureka Africa in Ghana. The Hon Minister
praised the investment made by Academic City in an impressive state-of-the-art
university campus in Ghana and was also appreciative of the deep impact of
BlueCrest College and NIIT over so many years in training the workforce for
Ghanaian industry. He shared the Ministry’s efforts and vision to revamp the
entire education sector in Ghana and how Eureka Africa fits in nicely.
Following the delegations return from India to
Ghana the Honourable Dr. Prempeh scheduled a visit to the new Academic City
campus in Haatso, Accra. The Academic City executive team spent a few good
hours touring the minister and his assistant throughout the site. This was
great exposure for the team as we got the opportunity to promote the
initiatives mission and vision. Needless to say Honourable Dr. Prempeh was very
supportive and appreciative to our endeavour and pledged his and the ministry’s
support.
Both meetings in Dubai and Accra ended on a vote of
thanks and with a promise to have the President of Ghana, HE Nana Dankwa
Akuffo-Addo there to support and inaugurate the Academic City campus in 2019.
