
Between November and February Vista Group representatives attended multiple Food Processing, Agriculture and Agriculture Technology exhibitions. The group has slowly grown its agricultural trade throughout the continent, and understanding the technology required to produce fresh produce and alternative agricultural products has resulted in great value addition to the vertical.
Artemis Life Sciences has been studying machine lines required for drying, milling and packaging fresh produce. Hydroponics Cultivation Technology and other innovative indoor farming techniques, in addition to understanding more about Algae and the Photo Bio Reactor cultivation method as a means to produce natural algal products with enormously high anti oxidant levels. These products are known to have use cases in the Pharmaceutical and Dietary Supplement industries.
As there has been a growing interest from global superpowers on food security, we have witnessed Africa position itself to become the bread basket and solve global future supply chain problems. This has resulted in institutional funding and grants being made available to agricultural enterprises in Africa with a track record and solid models to scale.
