Academic City team successfully completed a 3 day training exercise on the CAMU LMS at Octoze Technologies headquarters in Thoraipakkam, Chennai which will be used as the education management system (EMS) and learning management system (LMS) at Academic City.
The team consisted of Mr. Vinay Gokaldas and Mr. Amit Agrawal who was newly hired as General Manager of Information Technology at Academic City. Over the course of the 3 day training, the team at Octoze led by Mr. Swaminathan and Mr. Mouli (founders of the company), provided a comprehensive deep dive into the application, its limitations and development that is in the pipeline.

The CAMU EMS/LMS combination which is also being used at Ashesi University, is a management suite that allow campus administration to keep track of everything from facilities, library, hostel, billing & fees, course mapping and student and staff attendance. Similarly, the LMS component allows professors to pre-design their course material with any relevant uploads, assignments and exams. The end result is a fully inclusive application accessible via a mobile device that allows a seamless portal for students, staff and parents to communicate and be engaged in the education process via digital means.

Octoze Technologies was recently listed among the 20 most promising education technology solution providers by CIOReview India magazine in the March 2018 issue. Through their satellite office at ISYX, a recognized technology solutions provider in Dubai, Dr. Kapil Gupta of Eureka Africa successfully negotiated attractive rates for Academic City to use CAMU on campus.

The CAMU team will aim to be in Accra mid-may for initial deployment of the application; focussing on enquiries, admissions and finance as the initial rollout modules.
