The Capital Raising/Investment Analyst will be expected to evaluate potential investment opportunities and be responsible for actively monitoring and raising highly diversified capital for companies and initiatives within the portfolio. We value flexibility, interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to work pro-actively, take initiative and problem solve creatively. You will work closely with other members of the Company and should be comfortable operating in a collaborative structure.

Primary responsibilities of the role will include:
- Developing a funding strategy to mobilise resources from foreign governments, international financial institutions, capital markets and retail investors
- Preparing loan proposals and prospectuses
- Negotiating loans, guarantee arrangements and on-lending agreements
- Managing relationships with creditors and investors
- Ensuring compliance with all conditions required for the drawdown of a loan
- Developing a medium and long-term borrowing policy and strategy aimed at minimising cost or risk
- Undertaking portfolio and debt sustainability and risk analysis
- Producing analytical and annual debt reports
Secondary responsibilities of the role will include:
- Analysing and valuing potential acquisition opportunities for the Company, including due diligence on the relevant companies and industries
- Monitoring the performance and general asset management of portfolio companies, including both operational and strategic reviews
- Analysing of the existing portfolio, highlighting recommended investments, divestments, capital expenditure and diversification opportunities
- Financial modelling and projection of company results, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flows
- Keeping up to date with market developments, new investment products, etc.
Professional Background:
- The successful candidate will have outstanding intellect and analytical skills.
- Graduate with a master’s degree in business, finance, mathematics or a related discipline
- Five years of experience in a private equity, family office, investment banking or management consulting environment
- The proven ability to work in a small/boutique sized team
