Vishwamitra
has been the first of the Vista group companies to go through a transformation,
using the Zoho suite of apps. Zoho is a company that has emerged as the fastest
growing SME digital platform provider with a bundle of apps to cover all
aspects of business from accounting, marketing, sales and social.
Following
from the Zoho Conference in Dubai, the Vishwamitra team has taken the lead to
implement prototype use of the variety of Zoho products available in
particular; Zoho Vault, Zoho Expense and Zoho Creator.
In line
with the transformation strategy, Vishwamitra has successfully ported all
reimbursement and employee expenses over to the Zoho Expense app, where ease of
submission for reimbursement and tracking of these reimbursements can now be
done with ease. Moreover, the Zoho Expense app available through the appstore
(Google Play and iOS) allows for seamless mobile submission and requesting a
reimbursement is as easy as taking a photo of the receipt.
Stage two of the transformation with Zoho is being overseen by Arun Sharma at Vishwamitra, who has begun development of a portal for the trade finance arm with Zoho Creator. Zoho Creator is a user friendly drag-and-drop application development platform.
With so many projects being implemented in the group, here is another that will help in analyzing the data and increasing the work productivity. The project includes development of an app that will record all the order executed from VM, track the shipment, track the payment schedule and send timely notifications to concerned department in case an attention is required for any specific order.
What makes this app important, is the easy of tracking all orders instead of traditional way of going through each record in an excel sheet or consulting accounts department for the payment update.
The app is currently under development with beta version expected to be ready by end of July 2018.
Moreover, the data collected from the system will allow Vishwamitra to optimize procurement and serve our partner offices across Africa better, by having early warning on late shipments and faster re-ordering.
The Zoho suite of apps is available as a Software as a Service with the option of standalone user (free) or multiple users (paid monthly). We believe adoption of Zoho across specific business processes will lead to higher productivity, less errors and richer analytics for management. The eventual goal is develop an analytics dashboard that can guide management.
