
At the reception for celebration of 71st
Republic Day, hosted by High Commission of India in Maputo, Honorable Minister
of Science and Technology and Higher and Technical Vocational Education of
Mozambique, HE Gabriel Ismael Salimo handed over the “MOZ-E-HIND-The Indian
Waves 2019” certificate, a brainchild of Shri Rajeev Kumar, High Commissioner
of India to Indian Cultural Association in Mozambique in recognition of its
outstanding contribution towards strengthening bilateral relations between the
two countries. This is the first-ever certificate to be given to an individual
Indian / Indian Association / Indian company based in Mozambique in recognition
of his/her/its significant contributions in strengthening India-Mozambique
bilateral relations in any one of the following fields:
1. Significant
contribution in the field of Health and Education in Mozambique.
2. Significant
contribution in enhancing business opportunities between India and Mozambique.
3. Significant
contribution in promoting the Indian culture in Mozambique.
4. Exceptional
work in the field of welfare of the Indians and Mozambicans and charity work in
Mozambique.
For the selection process, a 4-member
Committee was formed in the High Commission under the Chairmanship of the High
Commissioner of India.
