Teaser: ACUF marks its first Giving Tuesday by mobilising support to fully fund six outstanding young women in STEM–already reaching $230,000 of its $300,000 goal.
We are pleased to introduce the Academic City University Foundation (ACUF) to the Vista Group community. ACUF is the philanthropic arm of Academic City University, established to expand access to world-class STEAM education and entrepreneurship training for high-potential young Africans.
On December 2nd, ACUF launched its first-ever Giving Tuesday campaign with a clear goal: to raise $300,000 to fully fund six exceptional young women pursuing STEM degrees at Academic City University.
This inaugural campaign is being delivered in partnership with the African Gifted Foundation (AGF) and its African Science Academy (ASA)-leading organisations dedicated to identifying and nurturing outstanding young women in mathematics, science, and engineering. Through this partnership, six ASA scholars will pursue degrees in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Computer Science.
Each full scholarship covers tuition, housing, meals, learning materials, lab access, and student support for the full four years of the degree program–allowing scholars to focus fully on learning and innovation.
We are encouraged by the early response. To date, the campaign has raised approximately $230,000 of the $300,000 goal, and remains active through the end of December as we work to close the remaining gap.
As part of the Vista Group family, we invite colleagues to support this initiative and share it within their networks to help us finish strong.
