
World Autism Awareness Day is celebrated on 2nd April 2018. BlueCrest College initiated an Autism Awareness Day in partnership with Autism Awareness, Care and Training Centre (AACT) located at Kokomlemle.
Mrs. Serwaah Quaynor, having sojourned through the phases of denial through to acceptance of a son’s autism was finally being able not only to smile at the progress he has made but be able to reach out to others through AACT and Autism in Ghana. BlueCrest College established a partnership with AACT to enhance awareness of Autism and also agreed to assist through its student and alumni community, timely and much needed support.
In addition, the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Blue Crest University College has organized a walk to educate the public as part of World water Day.

The head of Department of Mass Communication at the University College, Mr Kofi Dzokoto speaking with the media ahead of the walk said the department’s mandate is to educate the public and the ‘Save the Water’ walk is to encourage Ghanaians to use water wisely. He called on the government to continue on its fight against galamsey to preserve the various water bodies in the country.
Some of the students were holding placards with inscription such as ‘Water is life, don’t waste it, the less you use H20, the more U save, Every drop of water counts so save water’ among others. The students walking through some of the principal streets of Accra shared leaflets on water education as well as talking to pedestrians about the relevance of World Water Day.
