Accra fashion week Spring/Harmattan 2017, an annual event was organized by Africa’s most popular media house FashionGHANA.Com during 5th -8th October 2017 at Providence Event Centre, Accra. Young talents of over 90 designers from 20 countries across the world presented & displayed their creations during Accra fashion week.
BlueCrest College is one of the pioneering tertiary educational institution offering Degree, Diploma and certificate programs in Fashion & Design. From its existence of 4 years in the Fashion Industry, Bluecrest has been the launch pad for Fashion Design Aspirants in Ghana. Right after the course completion, SFD creates the platform for their students to portray their creativity by culminating acquired skills during their course. Around 23 SFD Graduating Students showcased their designs in Accra fashion week.
The runway models displayed the overwhelming and youthful exuberance designs made by students of SFD, in a sliding of the two crossed paths, covered with an exceptional lighting effect in the background.
Students of SFD presented their Collection that were inspired by Mermaids, Fluid drapes, World of upside down, Piano. The collections were ranging from smart casuals, club wears, evening gowns, etc..
Audience described the designs from the SFD students to be very professional, sophisticated and eye-catching because of its cuts and colors. Student-designers and organizers termed this show to be a real show full of challenges and magical moments.
