Academic City University, in partnership with Northeastern University (USA), recently hosted the first-ever Ghana Medical Innovation Expo — an initiative designed to advance locally driven healthcare innovation and medical technology development.
The two-day event brought together students, faculty researchers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers to present practical solutions to Ghana’s pressing medical challenges. Exhibits included prototype medical devices, diagnostic tools, and digital health applications aimed at improving access and affordability across the healthcare system.
This collaboration with Northeastern marks an important milestone in Academic City’s strategy to build a globally connected innovation ecosystem rooted in Africa. The partnership extends beyond the expo, encompassing joint research initiatives, student exchange programs, and curriculum development focused on biomedical engineering and healthcare innovation.
By nurturing homegrown talent and strengthening technical collaboration, Academic City is helping position Ghana as an emerging hub for affordable, technology-enabled healthcare solutions.
Congratulations to the Academic City team for this impactful milestone!
